As a slot supervisor, I am responsible for providing guidance to my frontline staff. This comes in many forms, including, but not limited to answering questions, keeping them informed of promotional events happening, helping them with paperwork, correcting errors, authorizing large or manual transactions, as well as disciplining them if necessary. It is my job to ensure the gaming floor is running smoothly and at the highest percentage of availability possible. Keeping as many games operable is a high priority. Other responsibilities include customer disputes and satisfaction, whether it be a pay table explanation, a game recall to show what happened, or issuing a comp for dinner, all while keeping a calm and collected demeanor. It is important to keep guests happy and engaged in play. It is equally important to ensure that guests are not trying to launder money or evade taxes. On the backside of things, I am running reports on games, keeping my staff files up to date, taking phone calls, and assisting my director when needed. I am always trying to keep my peers informed of any ongoing events or problems we may be experiencing. Communication is very important to me and our company, within my department, and beyond. Working with other departments to accomplish bigger goals is always a fun and challenging experience for me, and I try to assert myself whenever and wherever possible. An example would be the Summer Slot Tournament, in which we are highly involved in making it happen. Overall, it is my highest priority to keep our department informed and running smoothly because of our communication, and dedication to our company.
As a Realtor, I am responsible for working directly with buyers and sellers. This includes several functions, primarily coordinating many steps on each side of the process. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Slot Attendant, I preformed jackpot payouts, filled ticket printers, took care of bill validator jams and printer jams, as well as other minor machine repairs. I was very involved with customer service tasks, including but not limited to; cash exchanges, ticket cashing, printing player club cards, creating player's club accounts, serving drinks, giving direction and even ordering and delivering food from the Deli. I worked closely with other departments to ensure the best guest experience. I helped my Supervisors and Slot Repair Technicians with repairs, machine moves and reporting of various sorts. I kept the gaming floor clean and inviting. Working with my fellow coworkers was always enjoyable and educational. We worked as a team to keep up on ever-changing technology, keeping each other informed on the newest machine cabinets, and how to access the components necessary to complete our everyday tasks.
As a Slot Repair Technician, I did machine repairs, part replacement, and even some soldering. I took pride in keeping games up and running. I was responsible for moving games, running power and data lines, as well as programming them. I worked closely with my peers and slot attendants to ensure the gaming floor was up and running at the highest capacity.
As a housekeeper, I was responsible for maintaining a clean gaming floor, bathrooms, breakrooms, and back-of-house hallways. We took pride in our casino always getting compliments on cleanliness, in comparison to other casinos in the area. I was happy to join the Turtle Creek family.
As an Assistant Manager of a Subway restaurant, I was responsible for product inventory, maintaining a clean kitchen and store, training new employees, and ensuring high standards for food preparation and serving. I was also responsible for preparing the day's bread, baking, soup, and cookies. I would be monitoring the cash register, the amount of money on hand, and dropping excess in the safe when necessary. I enjoyed being a Sandwich Artist and took pride in having regular customers who would request my experienced hand at building their next meal. I pursued another path due to a lack of benefits, including health insurance.
As a Shift Supervisor, I was responsible for managing a minimum of 3, up to 5 employees. This included delivery drivers and their specific orders, based on locations, cashiers, salad bar and buffet runners, dishwashers, and prep cooks. I manned the oven, made all orders, and kept a buffet. I hosted large events, housing dozens of Green Bay Packers fans, located across the road from Lambeau Field. I also controlled parking for such events, as well as selling spots in our lot to game-goers. Aside from the busy kitchen, I also maintained employee timecards and payroll for about a dozen employees. I helped the manager with inventory weekly, and I did a full kitchen cleansing monthly. I left this job only because I moved back to Michigan.
