• Administer medication and immunizations to over 30 patients by pill, G-tube, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and liquid form.
• Perform Electronic Health Record (EHR) input, maintain care tasks, chart assessment data, document changes in condition, oversee risk management, update care plans, and process physician orders.
• Ability to collect and process lab specimens.
• Perform wound care.
• Assist with and support staff in scheduling department.
• Assist in infection control and safety protocols.
• Supervise, mentor, and work alongside CNAs.
• Serve as liaison between employees and the IT department.
• Travel to other sites as needed.

Wound Nurse

• Goal is to promote healing.
• Implement infection control measures.
• General assessment: knowledge of any allergies, ensure airway, breathing, and circulation, vital signs, appropriate fluid intake, pain level.
• Accompany wound care physician, throughout facility. Document all changes.
• Clean daily, apply wound care - dressings, medications, and length of time. Document.
• Notify supervisor of any and all changes; concerns.
• Pressure Injuries; Stage 1-4, plus unstageable. May involve extremity diabetic issues, venous, or dehisced surgical incisions.
• Negative Pressure Therapy - removes infectious materials, aids in pulling wound edges together, reduces edema
• Ostomy, ileostomy, JP drain, and GI care
• Integumentary burns. Conduct ABC, initially
• Staple removal technique, usually 7-14 days after.
• Communicate with co-workers of on-going healing procedures.
• Speak to and listen to patient (and RP), about wound care, in-house and at home,.
• Assist with admissions, where applicable, throughout facility.

Director of Staff Development

• Supervise, counsel, and mentor a nursing staff to more than 50 Certified Nursing Assistants
• Manage hiring processes, review applications, coordinate and chair interviews.
• Lead theoretical and clinical two-day orientation sessions, administer TB screenings and physicals, and conduct facility tours.
• Schedule and conduct CNA evaluations; participate in employee meetings.
• Calendar, conduct bi-weekly in-services; log accordingly.
• Create impromptu and speciality in-services.
• Attend daily management meetings; create quarterly information.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Workman’s Compensation process and ensure accurate log keeping.
• Maintain and calendar BLS, CEUs, vaccinations, license renewal due dates, and computer logins of Nursing department.
