I am a current Girl Scout co-leader and a Service Unit Treasurer. I truly enjoy doing both of these voluntary jobs. I get to watch these girls grow into young ladies. Going to all the events and on the adventures that we have for the girls is an exceptional leadership goal we hope to teach each person in our troop. These are great bonding and learning activities that have an everlasting effect on their future and mine as well. As much as you are leading the girls, you get a better understanding of so many different ways to interact with people. It has help myself grow as person, and I try to let our troop of ladies as much as possible. I do teach our Wednesday night youth group at church along with our Sunday Children's church. I enjoy having both these teaching roles and only hope to get our youth involved themselves when they are older.

Accomplishments

  • I have gone to a few leadership events for Girl Scouts, to help become a leader. I have received awards for volunteering, years of leadership for our troop. I am truly grateful of being able to part of great organization. This has shown me how to be able to help out others in ways that are so simple. We can do more things for ourselves, protect the environment and be try to be kinder.
