Summary

I am currently a Correctional Officer III with a history of exercising sound judgment and reasoned thinking during crisis events. Over time and commitment to professional communication and mentorship, I have developed a strong rapport with prisoners and colleagues. I provide an excellent command of detention that's centered around safety, security and emergency management protocols. I am resourceful and dedicated to the success of the staff that I mentor through motivational leadership, training and employee supervision experience.

I am currently a Firearms and training instructor for Colorado Department of Corrections teaching multiple weapon systems and basic training to new and current staff members. I was a member of the Emergency Response Team where we specialized in Riot control. During my time on the team I held the ranking of squad leader where I was in charge of a group of seven for multiple emergency activations. In that position I conducted interviews for new recruits, developed training, and created IAP (Incident Action Plan) for multiple situations that would arise.

I work very closely with the inmate population and the programs they have developed to change the culture inside for the safety of the community and the success of the population incarcerated. Together we meet with outside agencies to provide options and mentorship for the residents who are progressing out and seek additional help to be successful.

I am a hardworking and passionate individual with strong Leadership and organizational skills eager and ready to help your team achieve company goals.

Outside of work I am currently involved with a non profit organization name Ducks Unlimited. I am the Chairman of the organization for my area and with that I work very closely with the local businesses and the community. My down time is consisted of being outdoors in any aspect and spending time with my family.
