Summary

I have served honorably in the United States Army for six years and reached the rank of Corporal. I was able to lead and develop six Soldiers, Airmen, and Sailors to ensure they were able to accomplish their duties. During my service, I served in USAG Yongsan, South Korea, as a DRSN Technician, I was then assigned to U.S Army Element, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C., where I am currently a part of the Pentagon End User Operations team.

  • Directly supported the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Director's IT needs
  • Monitored and supported the Pentagon, DIA Headquarters, and 3 other satellite locations in the National Capital Region
  • Supported 10,000 Pentagon and DIA watch officers
  • Resolved 1000+ tickets
  • Lead and trained six Soldiers, Airmen, and Sailors, assisting 3 Service Members in promotion
  • One of two Service Members to directly support the J2, Director of Intelligence, and their staff
  • Supported a critical real-world exercise in the Pennsylvania area, resulting in 99.999% uptime for 120 watch officers for 48 consecutive hours
  • Supported all DIA JWICs enabled organizations at the Pentagon, providing technical support and troubleshooting to end users, resolving issues efficiently and effectively

Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) Technician

  • Operated and maintained the Defense Red Switch Network, responsible for providing and maintaining secure communications to the warfighter, conducting missions across South Korea in support of the United States Forces, Korea Commander (USFK CDR), 8th Army Commander (8A CDR), Commander of Naval Forces, Korea CDR (CNFK CDR), Chief of Staff, and Joint Staff
  • Performed weekly and monthly maintenance of the DSS-1 and DSS-2A to include maintaining physical backups of the database in accordance with Defense Intelligence Systems Agency (DISA) and U.S
  • Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) policies
  • Served as the 24 hour on-call technician tasked with: problem solving, troubleshooting, restoring outages, and traveling across South Korea, to our three sites USAG YONGSAN, CAMP HUMPHREYS, and Command Post Theater, Air, Naval, Ground Operations Center (CP TANGO) to provide the mission critical support
  • Responsible for servicing and maintaining the DRSN sub hand receipt (SHR) for the 362nd Signal Company to include monthly inventories, issue, turn-in, destruction, and maintenance of equipment, costing over $3,000,000
  • Planned and executed multiple successful missions and peninsula wide joint exercises at CP TANGO
  • Our team kept our switches, circuits, and trunks above the 99.95% DISA expectation in 2019-2020 by providing 24/7 support.
