• Performs depot level repairs and modifications to F-35 aircraft by using complicated measuring instruments, blueprints, sketches, drawings, process specifications, work orders, technical orders, sheet metal hand and power tools, special tooling and special fixtures.

• Conducts inspections of aircraft structures, components, or parts for defects, serviceability, or proper installation using processes specifications, technical orders and blueprints.

• Performs structural tasks such as removing, replacing, and realigning ribs, longerons, bulkheads, stringers, and fittings in completed skinned assembles and rack modifications.

• Removes, fabricates, repairs, modifies, and installs parts and assemblies, such as frames, stringers, longerons, bulkheads, beams, ribs, spars, skins, and double contour skins using hand or power tools and variety of metal working equipment.

• Experienced at identifying and cold working various aircraft metals.

• Locates and marks dimensions, lays out patterns, and templates and fabricates parts, repairs skins and stiffeners, stringers, frames, brackets, fairings, ceilings, side wall and retaining strips, floor boards, extrusions and seat tracks using precision tools, shrinkers, benders, rollers, drills, shot rivets, saw, brakes, shears and grinders.

• Cuts, trims, files, bends and smooths parts and verifies sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance of parts.

• Aligns, fits, assembles, connects and installs system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools and power tools.

• Utilizes variety of sheet metal tools such as: rivet guns, bucking bars, drills, speed handles, tin snips, grinders, sanders, hammers, mallets, CLECOS, calipers, punches, scribes, scales as well as various shop equipment such as shears, rollers, drill presses, belt sanders and band saws.

• Knowledge of various types of aircraft fasteners such as blind rivets, solid rivets, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, pins and collars.

• Submits Maintenance Work Requests and Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements (SQAR) and other unpredictable jobs.

• Possess sound judgment and proofreading to determine the procedure and process to accomplish an initial Technical Order in accordance with technical data.

• Provides input to the daily turnover logs and coordinates with the next shift to ensure the necessary tasks were completed to reach each milestone in the aircraft flow.

• Subject Matter Expert in fastener hole and surface corrosion remediation.
