Accomplishments

  • Serve on the City’s Master Facilities Plan Update Committee to provide input on the needs of the Police Department in relation to our current building and future training facility.
  • Serve on the Emergency Management Training Committee- Oversees training activities for all city personnel.
  • Served on the Fort Bend County Regional Training Facility design committee.
  • Managed and supervised the department’s Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (C.A.L.E.A.) process.
  • Ensured compliance with standards of CALEA process by reviewing and modifying departmental general orders on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinated the department’s National Police Week Activities
  • Managed the City of Sugar Land National Night Out Program for 5 ½ years, during my time as a Crime Prevention Officer, the city had the highest participation levels in the city’s history which resulted in the city being recognized several times for its participation by the National Association of Town Watch.
  • Wrote the current Sex Offender Residency Ordinance for the City of Sugar Land.
  • Manage the police department’s recruiting and hiring process to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Doubled the number of applicants from previous years. Also coordinate the department’s promotional processes.
