Delivering unprecedented leadership throughout the expansion of Disney Cruise Line.
Provide excellent fuel category management, manage and lead expediting team members, and provide sourcing support for the assigned vessel and our private island. Resolve professional challenges, and identify supply chain operational issues to facilitate the mitigation of existing risk. Identify objectives, and actively improve existing processes.
Negotiate large complex agreements in support of the needs of the fleet. Agreements included marine fuels (multiple suppliers, fuel types and terms from 6 months to 10 years), marine lubricants 3+ years, a solar field in the Bahamas to name a few.
Support the assigned vessel and the larger fleet by improving MTO sourcing and purchasing for key operating components, including engineering, propulsion, advanced wastewater treatment, and fuel systems, as well as deck and entertainment departments.
Manage a team of six expeditors to achieve on-time deliveries in support of the operational needs of the fleet and our private island. PO confirmations, logistics coordination, RTV/RMA activity, as well as keeping the stakeholders abreast of status changes, are the key components.
Successfully implemented a strategy for compliance to the IMO 2020 Fuel Emissions Standards for Disney Cruise Line. Contracted with suppliers for assurance of supply. Supported the company’s existing hedging strategies.
Integral member of the negotiation team for LNG to support the future ships in the fleet. Actively communicated with executives from all parties and continue to as facilities, processes and equipment are designed and built to assure timely supply of on-spec fuel. LNG is very new marine fuel with complex storage and delivery mechanisms.
Understand the methods of securing fuel from various sources including refiners, agents, physical suppliers, and brokers utilizing short-term and long term contracts, spot buys and mixes of both, maximizing a secure supply of quality fuels at the lowest cost that align with hedging strategies where appropriate.
Leading the operational sourcing of contractors and suppliers for the Light House Point project for Disney Cruise Line. Early involvement to maximize the opportunity for local supply maximizing the impact to the local economy.
On location support of multiple successful dry docks in Freeport, Bahamas, Victoria, BC, and Norfolk, VA.
Headed S&P effort for Castaway Cay expansion in order to accommodate larger ships.
