When I arrived at hoyer global the estimated time a driver spent in the yard waiting to be loaded or unloaded was 1 hour and 25 minutes and they were spending their profits on constant demerge penalties and fines .After I organized the yard by container id prefix and numbers and started staging out bound orders weeks in advance if possible we cut that time drivers waited to 20 minutes .I say we because it was a real effort and your only as strong as your weakest link and I am a firm believer that set down a standard of how the job will be done and take the time to train each individual and encourage them and keep morale positive rather than ruling with an iron fist ...I started out as a iso container mechanic in 1996 making $11 an hour and worked my way all the way to being a shop foreman and eventually a logistics assistant.Im a hard worker ,I don't cut corners and 8 take pride in everything I do .I lead by example and I thrive in a fast paced environment
