Work History

Restorative Community Service Mental Health Clinician

ESS- Effective School Solutions
09.2022 - Current
  • At ESS I created the Restorative Community Service (RCS) Program. In this position I was responsible for connecting at risk students with community service activities. I was a mental health professional who was connected to students that opted to complete community service instead of being suspended from school. In the program I worked with students on de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, anti-stigma issues, grief & loss, domestic violence, sexual assault, and oppositional behaviors. I created a community that supported one another. I also created a community of students that enjoyed staying after school to help improve their community or who wanted to go to the food bank and thrift store to support the less fortunate. I managed the stats, helped other schools create similar programs, and offered ideas for marketing the program. I also floated to other schools to cover clinicians that were off for the day. I facilitated group therapy, individual and completed crisis assessments.

I was the intermediate person for the psychiatrist. I trained, supervised, and monitored staff productivity. I helped create the new Covid-19 procedures. During Covid I was downsized, therefore I applied for a transfer to another position.
  • In this position I was responsible for managing and supervising the creation of the Covid Connect-19 Call Center & program. I helped with the startup of the program by training staff, creating workflows, implementing policy/procedures, and marketing the program. I attended state and federal meetings to ensure that the grant requirements were being met. I trained and monitored the selection of clinicians who contracted with the program. I assisted with completing intakes and virtual psychotherapy sessions as needed while also monitoring the call center line. In addition, I was a backup supervisor and clinician for the NJ Suicide Hotline and National Suicide line now known as 988 and Vet4Warriors call center when needed. I completed employee evaluations and payroll. I was also responsible for assigning consequences when needed to employees after warnings were given.

Clinical Supervisor

I served on the management and leadership team. I was the interim person that handled most state and Medicaid audits for my department. I worked as an intermediate person for the psychiatrist.
