Summary

I am a dynamic educator excelling in leadership and strategic program development. Although I am a classroom teacher I was thrust into multiple leadership roles not frequented by teachers after our principal was diagnosed with ALS. During her two year fight I leveraging data-driven initiatives, strong communication, and an abundance of energy to further our schools vision in spite of our lack of administration. I strive to make everyone in our community feel valued in capable with leads to student success and retention. Most importantly I am committed to ongoing professional growth and empathetic engagement with myself and others in the understanding that there is so much growth possible.

  • Currently head of the School's Leadership Team. I work closely with our school principal, our community council, and the whole administration team to write our SIP (School Improvement Plan) and school mission statement. I define the school's vision and strategic priorities, including new program development.
  • Led the Freshman Success Team partnering with student leadership, stakeholders, and district personnel to bring the 9th grade class into the school in 2021. Managed the course selection process in several different ways, including new course development, counseling students with their course selection, and engaging the community in the process.
  • Developed a school-wide Freshman Success Advisory curriculum for 700 students by working with our administration and counseling teams to use data to constantly evaluate the effectiveness of the advisory program.
  • Led the PBIS (Positive, Interventions, Behavior, Support) team as part of the MTSS team (Multi-Tiered System of Supports). Worked closely with learning specialists, social-emotional support counselors, college counselors, and our administration team to support students' individual goals through both their learning and emotional needs.
  • Led a year long focus group to redefine our credit recovery and disciplinary system that was over encumbered. Used data to specifically address absences and truancy.
  • Organized two accreditation cycles as the leadership head. Collaborated with administrators in addition to faculty and staff. This collaboration effort was data focused and based in creating, reporting, and analyzing all-school initiatives, as well as shared programs.
