  • While UFP in DFW transitioned out of the builder business, I was asked to take on a role as a dealer rep, working both with national chains and independent dealers selling treated UFP's studs for our stud mill, panels, and specialty products.
  • Selected to assist in the development of the Intact Structural Frame system, it was to be tailored to convert small to medium metal-framed gas stations, 7-11 type stores, and restaurants to an engineered wood frame.
  • After Boise, I was hired to run and drive the single-family EWP business. We tripled our sales in a year and raised our margins by 7 points in a very challenging housing market.

  • Managed North Central Texas and Northern Louisiana for the EWP Mill in Alexandria. My main focus was converting builders from TJI and LP, as well as solid wood or open web floor systems. We developed and executed a plan to convert both national, regional, and local builders to the BCI product. The second part of our strategy was to convert lumber dealers to BCI EWP stocking dealers and incorporate our Sawtech systems to help them with waste and to give them an advantage over chainsawed cut packages. Increased our market share from 12% to 22% in a declining housing market.
  • Awards: Central Area Sales Manager of the Year, and National Area Sales Manager of the Year.
