I delivered my baby sister on October 29th at 10:15am using the skills and lessons I was taught as a CNA. I had to make a quick decision and reaction as my mother was in labor and there was no way for us to get to the hospital. I quickly reacted and got on the phone with the operator who was no help. I had to wait for EMS to arrive during that time. I sprinted into action delivering her from my mother as my mother was standing up over the sink. I used both forefingers on each of my hands to gently guide my sister's head out from my mother after her head got stuck. Soon the rest of her body followed where I caught and delivered her and rubbed her and cleaned her just to make sure she was breathing after all the chaos. That's when EMS arrived to my home and took over.
