Taught severely emotional disturbed students all main subjects. Students were physical , threw chairs, called teacher and students out of name. Patting down for guns was a regular thing. My main job was to teach as well as stopping them from leaving the classroom and disturbing other classes. Olfrt 26-33 year old students hand punched ,knocked out cold, a gun held to my head and a chair thrown which resulted in a mild concussion., mothered the children, forgave and moved on. I retired from
DC Public schools and went on to teach at Fort Meade in Anne Arundle county at Fort Meade Air Force Base. where I was employed .remained for 2 years before moving to Prince George County Public School, where I I taught at Suitland Senior High School where I retired at 60.e and moved to Miami Florida. I am seeking a substitute position near 33141. As a retired teacher I would like to "sub" 2 or 3 days a week JHS or HS
I am presently reading "One damn thing after another" Memoirs of an attorney general by William P Barr. I am a lover of history and read any fiction or non fiction historical books. I am not a fan of science fiction. My art by numbers ia nothing I would share with but my closest friends. I am not very good at it. I volunteered at Mt. Sinai Hospital for 6 years in Abbot Lounge, making coffee, keeping loved ones up to date on the patients progress as the doctors gave it to me. Covid caused me to stop.
