I am currently a Patient Services Group Lead for the Texas Children’s Team. I have been in this role since January 3, 2023. We currently have 38 PSRs that I assist in managing over the Greater Houston Area. Our territory spreads from The Woodlands to Sugarland, Katy to Baytown and everywhere in between. I have been responsible for managing Workforce Central which includes, keeping up with late arrivals, missing timestamps and monitoring overtime. I type up and send out schedules to the 7 floats on our team. I also investigate TNPs and CPRs for our team. After a complete investigation, if found that our PSR is at fault, I type up and present the retraining. I have been responsible for onboarding new hire and training them once they go out to their permanent location. I have collaborated with the Customer Solutions Team with the Short Stability Kits at the TCH Campuses on the best process to send these out from these locations as FedEx doesn’t have complete access to all campuses. I assist in setting up and helping to assure the hiring events run smoothly.
I was a PSR III - float in The Woodlands, Conroe and Huntsville area from February 2021 to January 2023. I was responsible for taking care of patients. I collected and processed specimens on a daily basis. I was given a schedule every Friday but I was always prepared for any last-minute changes. I was part of the transition team when Quest bought out the Memorial Herman Phlebotomy sites. I also trained many new hires on how to read orders, put them into Quanum, how to process specimens and how to manifest. I have been a Site Lead in the past. Along with the same duties that I had as a float, I was also responsible for leading a group of 8 to 10 phlebotomists. I also ordered the supplies and made sure the site was properly stocked. I kept the site running as smooth as possible
