  • Dissemble/assemble assortment of gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, and valves
  • Trouble shoot and repair items such as cranes, winches, and wheel abraders
  • Repair and assemble to manufacturer’s specifications and or to the specifications of the U.S.N.S

  • Proficient with the installation of mechanical seals, lip seals, impro seals and bearings
  • Measure ID and ODs using mics, do T.I.R
  • On shafts and verify floats and backlash with dial indicators
  • Use of telescoping gauges, depth mics, calipers and inside micrometers
  • Performs hydrostatic test of valves and pumps in the range of80 psi to1500 psi
  • Have ABS, Coast Guard and ship’s crew verify no leakage or confirm allotted amount within satisfactory
