2nd grade RTI (Response to Intervention) lead teacher.
Grade level team leader for second grade (Leadership team).
Mentored Junior and Senior undergrad students.
Taught the English portion of two elementary Dual Language classes, consisting of 21 students per class. Collaborated closely with my Dual Language teacher partner, to ensure our students were successful academically in both English and Spanish.
Collaborated with a team of teachers, to determine the most efficient way to implement a new program that was adopted by our district, PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions, and Supports).
Worked with a team of teachers that launched the districts new math curriculum, Eureka Math.
Was part of a team of teachers that visited other elementary schools to oversee the implementation of the districts new grammar curriculum (Fountas and Pinnell Word Study).
Taught in a typical First and Second grade classroom. I have also taught in a First and Second grade Dual Language classroom.
Founded and coordinated a once a week after school program called, Blast Club. The program consisted of around 20 teacher volunteers and members of our local community. The program ran around 120 students each week. The misson was to implement the Arts, Social Emotional stability, build friendships among the students, and ensure students have a trusted adult staff member to confide in.
