Make an initial screening decision at the conclusion of the narrative to either investigate, alert SSA, forward as information to the Licensing Specialist, notify other licensing state agencies, or document with no further action. If the allegation is not being investigated, note the reason why. Determine if the allegation is a possible COMAR violation and note the COMAR reference if applicable. Forward the screening decision to the Deputy Director for review and final approval and share the complaint in CJAMS.
