  • As a Case Manager Supervisor at this time, I had the primary role and responsibility of overseeing Case Managers within Adanta, as well as the individual assigned cases for participants who received Medicaid Waiver. The individuals Adanta served and continues to serve have a diagnosis of intellectual or developmental disability and receive either Supports for Community Living Waiver or the Michelle P. Waiver. At this time, I was the only CM/CMS who completed the SCL and PASRR waiver. My role requires me to supervise case managers and direct support staff to guarantee staff competency and ensure quality of care for the participants served.rved. I assisted in evaluating case centered supports and making sure that they are being implemented. The position required that I assess participants for eligibility for services, and that I assist in determining the agencies' capability of providing the appropriate supports needed. As a case manager I ensured all participants needs are being met, satisfaction of services, and monthly face to face monitoring was being completed. As Case Manager Supervisor I had administrative responsibilities and worked with the Program Director on case manager reports and budgeting. I also assisted in developing, reviewing and the implementation of some of Adanta's policies and procedures.

This was my start with Adanta and I really enjoyed working with the individuals. We learned from each other and I really got appreciation for this field. I also assisted them with doctor appointments and keeping in touch with their friends and families. I was a guest in their home and was glad that they invited me in to work with them.

  • I am a mother of a now 21 year old daughter who just recently married. She is an ICU Nurse in Danville, KY, she will graduate in May with her Bachelor's and she will continue on with her education as she has chosen to become a nurse practitioner.
  • I have been married for 22 years to my husband and we had one daughter. We will be moving soon to his family farm in Liberty, KY (Casey County) and that is where I would like to serve the individuals in that community. Liberty and surrounding counties.
  • I am a member of my church, I enjoy assisting my husband with the cattle and farm chores, going shopping with my daughter, and just riding down the road with the windows down. I enjoy the simple things out of life.
