· As the lead FATA for the Office of Head Start, I perform a wide range of duties such as:

Provide and oversee the travel using the Concur Travel System, Federal Travel Regulations, HHS Travel Policy consistent with HHS and GSA requirement. Creating and Maintaining Routing List, Review Authorizations and Vouchers through the Concur Travel System before being certified by the budget office. I developed the internal process to that allows me to review and manage a staff of 220 employees of OHS.


Investigates and resolves issues that occur with authorizations within the Concur Travel System and vouchers that rejects in Concur. I created and developed travel training to new and current OHS staff, this allowed all employees to enable to Concur. Informs Lead FATA of non-functioning issues within Concur System. Assist travelers when needed, on how to prepare travel arrangements in Concur. Review and create travelers profile accounts in Concur.


· As the Lead ITAS Coordinator, I oversee and review the leave reports, adjust employee’s timecards, create ITAS accounts for new employees along with updating staff leave balances. I develop and provide training to staff and higher level official on the use of the ITAS system. Develop training modules that are used when conducting training on how to use and navigate within the ITAS system. Review errors and ensure all corrections to the ITAS discrepancy report.


As the Lead Coordinator I provide daily and weekly notifications staff and approving officials regarding verifying and approving their timecards. Additionally, when requested I submit peregrine tickets for various employee requests as it related to FMLA, VLTP, Administrative, Jury Duty, or Advance Sick Leave.


  • Provide project management, leadership, responsive customer service and execution of assigned OHS administrative and human resources (HR) activities. Develop and produce projects plans, SOPs, recommendations and strategies for improvement of the management, administration and HR functions of OHS.
  • Initiate actions, analyze data and/or develop reports to inform management decisions, using various HR reporting systems and human capital data, i.e., ITAS, EHCM, E-828, CLS, BPS, SharePoint, Staffing Reports, etc.
  • Prepare reports and presentations involving workforce analysis, administrative operations, etc. These reports may involve evaluation and recommendations for improvement in policies, processes and practices for optimal internal employee experience.
  • Analyze and interpret proposed policies using the HHS Timekeeper Manual, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), OPM Guidance, Federal Travel Regulation, and HHS Travel Policy to determine the impact on operations or employees.
  • Identify and analyze issues, problems and challenges facing management, recommending solution to those problems. Investigate and initiate resolution using the available HHS systems and required procedures.
  • Ensure regular follow-up with affected employees and HHS officials until resolution.
  • Provide technical advice on a variety of administration operations and recommending alternatives to improve management practices and procedures.
  • · Monitor, track, and update the OHS personnel tracking report, contact HR to inquire about pending personnel requests, and brief Executive Officer with status updates

  • Participate in a variety of major projects related to implementation and federal oversight of Tribal TANF and related programs, as well as develop, collect, maintain, and disseminate a wide range of information essential to the operation and administration of Tribal TANF programs

  • Review Tribal TANF Child Welfare grants using Grant Solutions to identify the grant applications along with reviewing the budget justification and narrative
  • Assist tribes with the completion and submission of their grant
  • Provide assistance to grantees relating to any concerns or changes within their application, budget or amendment pertaining to their grant
  • These applications are reviewed to ensure that the grantee is following the guidelines regarding their approved grant and funding amounts
  • During the review, I cross-check salary expenses, personnel, fringe benefits, program activities, direct and indirect cost rates and other cost allocations
  • Review grantees quarterly performance progress report to ensure that the grantee is implementing and providing their clients with the services that are indicated in their original grant application
  • Prepare reports, charts, and spreadsheets using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Utilize Grant Solutions and Online Data Collection to track grantees submission of their completed continuation application, Native Employment Works and Tribal TANF plans for my review
  • Serves as the lead on various team projects collaborating with contractors, TANF staff and regional office representatives providing support and oversight for the planning of conferences including workshops, events and meetings
  • Independently summarized and analyzed, research, reviewed, statistical/narrative New Employment Works data
  • Use MS Word and Excel when preparing charts and graphs to show trend and preparing the Report to Congress.
