  • Started works at cabinet works as a part puller my senior year of high school. Balancing both education and full time job at the same time.
  • Learned how to work with a scanner. Learned how to scan parts to wip, how to scan parts to a different location and looking up locations on a scanner.
  • Crossed trained pulling carts in the listed departments: Glaze line, Doors, Cores, Shelves, End panels, Top bottoms, Backs and JIT carts.
  • Assisted in training new employees in the given areas listed above and on proper safety procedures.

  • Grabbing material for the KAAT lines when they would call for it over the radio.
  • Doing walk-ups counting the quantity inside of the location making sure the quantity matched up in the system.

  • Getting with the mill and quality when we have defected parts being cut wrong so we can inspect all of the defected parts and bring out a new pallet making sure they pass the quality requirements.

  • Getting with the leads on first shift for the shift hand off and discussing any issues they had along the shift and any improvement we can make as a team.
  • Doing audits on all of the KAAT lines making sure all of the carts are in sequence at the beginning of the shift and at the end of shift.
  • Putting in process monitors in the system at the end of the shift.
  • Doing SWIs on the pullers and putting them into the system.
