  • Collaborated with C-level executives and board members to develop long-term financial plans in the strategic plan.
  • Developed goals for day-to-day operations of the lending and collection department.
  • Established internal audit procedures to validate and improve accuracy of loan documentation.
  • Creates and complies with establishing internal controls and policies.
  • Oversees the loan origination process, underwriting, portfolio management, risk assessments, and compliance strategies.
  • Oversees the collection process, from calls to recovery, making sure we are compliant. Evaluates the repossessed auto's to determine fair market value.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of general economic conditions or changing trends that may affect the credit union's rates. Provide feedback and change the rates to react competitively and strategically to the credit unions own goals.
  • Meet with members when needed to resolve issues or difficult/complex situations.
  • Create a lending and collection budget,review billing, and adjust fees as needed when cost increases.
  • Periodically review loan approvals and denial audits for soundness of decisions. Making sure we are in compliance and we are balancing our risk.
  • Develop and support strong communications with third party vendors, including attorneys, debt protection vendors, form vendors, force placed insurance vendors, credit burea vendors, and technology vendors.
  • Chairs the credit committee and arranges for loan request outside policy and workout loans to be presented with recommendation. Report the outcome and minutes to the board.
  • Serves on the Asset Liability Committee to focus on balance sheet management including concentration risk, interest rate risk, and making sure it aligns with the strategic goals set by the board.
  • Create new products for loan growth.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with credit union staff, management, and outside business contacts.

  • Grown loans from 18 million in 2017 to 50 million in 2025. Grown share to loan ratio from 45% to 93%. Grown staff from four to fourteen. Maintain close to a 1% delinquency ratio.
  • Created a first time auto buyer loan program and a first time home buyer loan program.
  • Collaborated with the team in implementing Meridian Link, Debt Protection, Money Savvy, Eltropy, Loan Pay Express, and Auto Link.
  • Helped with the planning, training, testing, data migration and verification in two core system conversions.
  • Used problem solving skills to help implement new ways of doing business during the pandemic. Invented a loan hardship program to help those impacted.
  • Received certificate of excellence for 3rd year whitepaper at Southeastern Regional Credit Union School that I collaborated and work with a team on. Also served as a class officer at SRCUS.
  • Biggest accomplishments at 1st MS are helping our members achieve their financial potential and making a difference in their life. The relationships that have been built over seventeen years here.
