HEADLINE: Instructional & professional development expertise plus airline experience.
HIGHLIGHT: Senior level design, creation and accreditation of an entirely new professional/graduate school (commissioned).
AIRLINE AND OTHER EXPERIENCE: Three and a half years of ground ops experience (Southwest Airlines). Prior to that: An international university career as professor (human centered designs/communication and behavioral research), dean and graduate school designer in Germany, England and the US.
STORY: After a university career (teaching and administration) in Europe and the United States, three strategic years of ground ops work for Southwest Airlines followed, the long-held goal being an introduction to the airline industry. After reverting temporarily to educational design consulting work (due to lack of opportunities during the pandemic in progressing to innovation/educational design in aviation), the time to return to the airline industry has come.
EXPERTISE: Extensive university management background at senior level (program and institutional design; compliance and management). Learning management systems expertise. Co-creative team leadership, significant public speaking experience. Highest level written publications including research monographs in multiple languages. Deep intercultural/international awareness and commitment to diversity and collegiality. Adept at working strategically through intricate problems in pursuit of a clearly defined vision. Advanced report writing. Bi-lingual (English and German). Additionally, foundational non-fluent knowledge of French, Spanish and Greek.
Bi-focal consulting expertise: (1) Constructing of career "on-ramps" for those who, although gifted, are late in pursuing a higher educational or professional development career path, often because of adverse life circumstances. (2) Design and execution of transformative, educational global travel for professional and personal intercultural development.
