- Filled tubes placed in lyophilizer for 48 hours then pulled for cake inspection, each tube is filled with a wax bead to melt and seal the cake, packaged for distribution, qc samples, and retain samples
- Manufacture of wax beads for cake sealing in tubes
- Assist metrology with qualification, calibration, and repairs of equipment such as bead baths, heat sealer, lyophilizers, heated vacuum chambers

- Heparin derived from pig intestine is transferred as a solution through pipes into large tanks where we use WFI to solubilize the heparin and then ethanol and salt to precipitate heparin while the garbage is decanted
- Use of caustic and acid chemicals to adjust pH in the heparin throughout the wash and cook process
- Use of Williams Tube reagent to determine ethanol concentrations in heparin
- Heparin is lyophilized and then pulled out to be milled, sampled, and packaged

- Clean, sanitize, and set up of tanks, pipes, pumps, tubes, wurster unit
- Train and oversee new operators as they set up and run their project
- Work alongside project coordinators and clients in the research and development of projects
