Coordinates MEL requirements with Maintenance control (MX), Tech desk, and MX FMU's to ensure parts are available for RON MX.
Procures and processes material requisitions following Mesa Air Group purchasing procedures.
Alerts management to any irregularities of material requisitions and MX vendor improprieties.
Provides all required departments with status of open requisitions and purchase orders.
Coordinates and communicates with Materials/Receiving Department on receipt of purchase orders; resolves any discrepancies with vendors on quantity, pricing, or documentation.
Identifies situations when expediting parts is necessary, communicates urgency to supplier or other carrier contact and identifies and resolves any problems.
Uses resources, including ILS, Parts base, Honeywell and external contacts to identify potential sources for parts, “shops” sources, assesses alternatives and determines supplier that best meets company needs.
Analyzes and approves loans and borrows to other carriers. Identifies potential problems, explains problems to management and/or other carrier contacts and, when appropriate, resolves problems.
Analyzes transportation alternatives, identifies best alternative and coordinates transportation of parts to and from designated line stations. Communicates with line stations and transportation contacts.
Minimizing unscheduled aircraft down time.
When necessary, coordinates transportation of parts to and from designated line stations.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with maintenance staff, supplier contacts and other carrier contacts.
When necessary, expedites exchanges, loans, repairs and/or procurement actions.
