Clinical Experience
I completed one semester of clinicals in the sterile processing department at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, GA., where I learned to sterilize instruments, reprocess scopes, and to pull items needed for the surgical cases the following day. Upon completion, I obtained my C.B.S.P.D. certification.
During my four semesters of nursing school, I completed four clinical semesters, including psychiatry, maternity, med-surg, CVICU, ED, surgery, and ICU.
I assessed patients, took vitals, and gave medications with a nurse preceptor instructing and monitoring.
I successfully followed hospital and school protocols.
