- Monitor Point of Care inventory levels for reagents and supplies; order additional items as needed.
- Validate and implement new Point of Care devices as needed.
- Establish rapport with nursing and educators and participate in nursing education and annual skills fairs.
- Perform competency and training on over 200 nurses each year on Hemochrons and i Stats.
- Troubleshoot Point of Care Devices.
- Generate monthly Quality Control reports, and perform Calibration Verification and comparison studies as required by CAP .
- Maintain policies and procedures for Point of Care and Safety.
- Participated in CAP inspections at other facilities and had successful CAP inspections when inspected.
- Supervise Outpatient Lab
- Supervise ED Lab.
- Monitor reference Lab reports and charges and result manually as needed.
- Prepare schedules for ED and Out Patient employees.
- Helped with implementation of new hospital LIS and HIS systems, Sunquest, Invision, EPIC.
