Safe and compassionate care to in-patient behavior health and medically acute patients in a correctional setting. Duties included wound care, medication administration. Other duties include supply inventory and ordering and precepting new hires. Involved in committees to develop safer medication administration techniques, preventing medication errors and patient compliance.

Trained to work with severely mentally ill population. Use of therapeutic force and de-escalation techniques as well as conflict management daily. Trained in the use of physical and medical restraints and monitoring. Primary duty was medication administration to include observing for effectiveness and adverse reactions. Works with interdisiplinary teams to include phsycologist, social worker and physicians.

Worked with public health and infection control to monitor and report COVID cases. Administration of vaccination and education on disease and treatment.
