Conducts inspections to service equipment; observes, corrects, and reports abnormal conditions to the
control room.
Operates moving equipment to handle ash, and byproducts at a coal-fired power plant.
Isolates and tags out all equipment for maintenance in assigned area, according to plant operating and
clearance procedures.
Monitors and operates all equipment in assigned area according to written or verbal instructions,
guidelines, and equipment specifications.
Completes and submits to immediate supervisor accurate and legible logs and reports as required.
Assists maintenance and instrumentation & control departments during unit outages. Performs
predictive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.

• Accountable for granting equipment clearances and hot work permits for the purpose of equipment
• Coordinates activities with contractors and outside service personnel to complete unit outages, equipment installation, modifications and repairs
• Monitors availability of proper amounts of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, log sheets, and other materials/supplies necessary to maintain unit
• Observes operation of burner ignition; manually operates this equipment when necessary
• Safely operates auxiliary equipment such as soot blowers, igniters, and lime feed systems
• Safely operates fly ash equipment, coal feeders, and vibrators, unplugs coal pipes, bunkers and feeders
• Inspects furnaces for condition of fire, amount of slag in various furnace areas; reports slagging conditions to proper operating personnel; utilizes water and air lances as necessary
• Inspects steam generators and related duct, breaching, valves, piping and headers for evidence of leakage of steam, air, gas, water, oil, or dust and reports conditions to proper operating personnel.

• Operate and troubleshoot the problem with the packaging equipment
• Demonstrate the understanding of all required paperwork to include but not limited to, communication boards, standard work documents, quality visuals
• Accurately log and retain data such as Log Sheet, Weight Sheet, and/or Blend Sheet
• Operate forklift and conduct forklift inspections
• Ensure that the finished product is packaged and labeled correctly
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Identify and understand the properties and hazards of chemicals
• Demonstrate the capability to meet or exceed established production rates and standards
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures; including, but not limited to wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
