#10 3rd hand- I am currently a winder operator on #10 paper machine which is our board machine. I am in charge of running our reels of paper off and cutting the paper into specific roll sizes for various different customers. I have to pay attention to test quality, roll sizes, diameter and appearance. #10 machine is a CM and Liner machine, paper for making cardboard boxes. I also am qualified #10 backtender as of 5 years ago, Backtender is in charge of the drying process of the paper. As of 2 years ago I qualified at #10 machine tender, machine tender is in charge of the all the beginning stages of the paper making process machine tender is the top qualified job on the machine. Safety has always been my #1 on any job I have done in my 22 years of papermaking.

I was a 4" Resaw operator, half logs would come up to me on conveyors. I would then cut them into specific thickness to be prepped for the next step which was either to be cut into 2x4's or 2x6's. Job duties included alot of clean up, changing resaw blades every two hours, running a chainsaw's as needed. Safety was a big key. Lockout tag out for any type of work on the resaw. This job was very fast paced and demanding.
