I worked as a Relief Captain and Head Captain on OSV'S ranging from 96 ft to,200 ft. I worked with production platforms and drilling rigs. I was Captain of two methanol support Vessels during my time with G,O.L. I operated DP-0, DP-1 and DP-2 Vessels. I am familiar with all 3 DP Systems on Vessels in Beier, M/T, and Kongsberg.
I worked every position (with the exception of Head Captain) on these 170 ft. Offshore Supply Vessels in the Gulf of Mexico Oil and Gas Industry. As an O/S and A/B I was responsible for general maintenance of the vessel and all rigging of cargo. As an Oiler and Engineer I was responsible for overseeing rigging operations and for the transfer of all drilling fluids to rigs and platforms. I was also responsible for all engine room maintenance which included oil changes minor engine repairs, and overall daily operating procedures. As Mate I was responsible for overseeing all deck and engineroom operations and for maintaining a watch and operating the vessel when the Caot was off watch.
