  • showcasing the proficiency of 48th Chemical Brigade (CM BDE) Soldiers and enabled lethality for elements of US Special Operations Forces through his actions as a decontamination specialist in support of two Desert Ice rotations, conducting approximately 20 mobility decontamination operations. I was directly recognized for technical proficiency by several senior leaders in the rotational units, further validating 48th CM BDE Soldiers as an asset to maneuver forces.


  • demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and trustworthiness as an ammunition custodian during Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) gunnery in support of all NBCRV platoons in the Battalion. I issued, maintained accountability, and turned in over 30,000 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition, enabling lethality and Table VI qualification in support of the 48th CM BDE mission.
