Work History

2D/3D CAD Design

Aaron Watkins
09.2024 - Current
  • Educated on how to properly utilize tools, methods, and techniques to measure objects, with the intended final goal of replicating their existing size or scaling them up without the assistance of digital technology.
  • Envision, design, and successfully print 3D objects using the Tinkercad program that meet minimum and maximum project requirements and succeed under testing. This includes, but is not limited to, action figures, phone cases, and functional rolling toy cars.
  • Work alongside peers in group projects with a system of contracts, strikes, and deadlines to ensure adequate participation, discipline, and responsibility.

FANUC Robotics

Mike Pobursky & Aaron Watkins
09.2024 - Current
  • Worked with and alongside three separate FANUC robotic arms to learn how to properly utilize them, including, but not limited to, jogging, Ipendant navigation, and teaching points for running programs.
  • Toured multiple companies and colleges related to the use of FANUC robotics and mechatronics in general.
  • Informed about the robotic job market and its recent trends to make judgment calls and predictions about where it is heading in the next few years.

Intro to Engineering

Ryan Said
09.2024 - Current
  • Gained hands-on experience with various engineering tools, software, and techniques to contribute effectively to multiple group projects that were tested and presented in front of the whole class.
  • Listened to and took notes on multiple presentations from different experts in the main fields of engineering about what they do, how they got to where they are, and their advice based on experience.
  • Researched and engaged in meaningful discussions about past ethical issues in engineering and how to avoid them in the future.
  • Practiced and tested mathematics related to each engineering field.

AP Physics

Nicholas Porambo
08.2023 - 06.2024
  • Educated on many basic physics concepts, theorems, and equations, including but not limited to force, torque, centripetal acceleration, momentum, and inertia.
  • Performed, observed, and took notes on multiple pre-set labs to further understand the topics taught in the classroom through visual demonstrations.
  • Tested on all acquired knowledge at once through the AP Physics final exam.

Computer Programming

Aaron Watkins
08.2023 - 01.2024
  • Educated in and applied basic programming skills using the Scratch visual programming language to create projects that ranged from simple games and scenes to stories, utilizing sprites, animations, visual effects, and sound bites.
  • Worked individually and alongside others to debug student-made programs, identifying and remedying possible issues that arose during testing and trial runs.
  • Gained knowledge of the basics of the wider computer science field, including its numerous tools, careers, and opportunities.
