  • Built the Mines Athletic Performance department from the ground up as the first full-time athletic performance director in school history
  • Oversee the annual design, implementation, and oversight of all athletic performance programs, performance nutrition, phase II+ return to play protocols, and performance science monitoring for all 500 student-athletes at Mines across 16 NCAA Division II programs
  • Directly supervise a full-time staff of five coaches and sport science assistants across two athletic performance facilities
  • Manage the entire athletic performance department budget, hiring processes, and strategic initiatives

Director of Applied Biomechanics & Athletic Performance Research

  • Envisioned, brought to fruition, and now oversee the Biomechanics of Athletic Performance (Bio-Performance) Lab as part of the Mines Athletics department
  • Mines Bio-Performance lab is the first of its kind in all NCAA Athletics run solely out of the Athletics department to study athletes, educate athletes, and improve student-athlete experiences
  • Initiated, executed, and currently manage an exclusive partnership with the one of the premier biomechanical technology companies in the country, Noraxon
  • Highly proficient with biomechanical collection technology such as inertial measurement units (IMUs), electromyography (EMG), single and multi-axis force plates, and motion capture
  • Orchestrate and oversee athletic performance research that provides quantifiable feedback into biomechanical demands of various human movements and sporting actions
  • Personalize athlete training and long-term development based on biomechanical feedback and frequent monitoring
  • Teach a weekly Biomechanics course, Applied Sport Biomechanics, where students learn to collect data on various athletic performance movements utilizing motion capture, EMG, and other biomechanical technology
  • Direct and co-author numerous research-grade Biomechanics Master’s program semester projects every semester that look into the correlation of weight room performance training and athletic performance output
  • Created and directly oversee the Engineering Athletic Performance education program combining biomechanics and athletic performance as a hands-on learning tool for Colorado School of Mines students
  • The first of its kind in all NCAA Athletics to incorporate student learning with athletic performance education and programming
