Multiple appointments per day treating a multitude of conditions including euthanasia's, diabetes, CKD, lacerations, infections, arthritis, injuries, cancer, ADR, etc.
Assisting owners with the decision on when to euthanize their pet and describe what to watch out for at home to determine QOL
Providing compassion and empathy when it is time for owners to let their patients go
Performing on average 2-3 euthanasia's per week
Performing various surgeries; Spay, neuter, dental cleaning and extractions, cystotomy, enterotomy, laceration repair, mass removals, enucleation
Working together with the veterinary team to provide proficient care to each patient
Maintaining a healthy work environment with colleagues
Providing accurate and concise medical notes for each patient
Doing multiple call backs per day to go over labwork, answer questions from owner, etc.
Prescribing multiple medications per day
Daily rounds to give details on each patient to hand off to the next doctor on shift
Weekly continuing education discussions
Multiple ER shifts working with dogs and cats with a variety of presenting complaints
2 week rotations in different specialties (ER, Critical care, Internal medicine, Surgery)
Performed multiple euthanasia's on dogs and cats and was sympathetic with owners to help with the decision of euthanasia
Extensive charting of patient notes, discharge instructions and treatment sheets
