  • Patient Service Representative, My responsibility was to provide contact between patients and their primary provider. I helped patients with their medication refill, prescription orders and any general questions they may have for the Doctor, Nurse or MA which they are receiving treatment from. My secondary responsibility is to make sure patients are up to date with their physicals, medical wellness visits and any specialty care provided through the entirety of North Atlanta Primary care and South East Medical Group.
  • Health Care Coordinator, The primary role was to partner with the supported Dentist in the practice to help gain financial commitment from the patients to start the best course of treatment with appropriate urgency. Key responsibilities included understanding and utilizing financial options to support case acceptance, educating patients on treatment choices, overcoming common patient objections or concerns, and proactively keeping Dentist's schedules productive. Provided support to each patient in a consultive and educated manner while consistently supporting a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL). Responsible for utilization of the PDS system and tools to assist patients in determining their needs. Was the Subject Matter expert on all financial options for patient's consideration. Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorization for patients who need this prior to completing treatment. Was trained in the use of EPIC software for the input of patient medical records, patient care and appointment schedule for patients and respective Dentists.
  • Operating Room Assistant, Responsible for the set-up of procedures to be performed within the operating room ensuring sterilization of all equipment, appropriate set-up, and that the correct number of supplies needed during the procedure were prepared and available. When appropriate, prep patients for surgery. Managed patient's blood and specimens, ensuring all standards of safe handling were followed to avoid contamination or mislabeling of specimens. Communicated and organized appropriate procedures with surgeons, nurses, and assistants as necessary or required. Managed specialty areas and procedures rooms within the OR.
