Trey Surpless

Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with 15 US, global, and alternative institutional investment consultants. Raises capital for BlackRock's private market strategies, with over $12bn in shared client assets. Leads research verticals and field consultant engagement to identify growth opportunities across all asset classes including private credit, infrastructure, real estate, fixed income, and active equites.

Achievements:

• Managed the investment and operational due diligence processes, amounting to over $1.5bn in new client assets across alternative strategies.
• Expanded engagement across research and field consultant teams, resulting in 10+ new consultant ratings for private and public market strategies.
• Partnered with internal stakeholders to scale consultant ratings for opportunistic credit strategy and implement aggregate pricing across key client relationships.

• Supported the relationship development for seven US and Global alternative specialist investment consultants and was responsible for the broader alternative narrative and commercial efforts across US-based consultants.
• Sole lead for three Midwest investment consultants with $7bn in shared client assets across BlackRock's full platform, including fixed income, equities and index products.
• Developed the research agenda that increased engagement and activity with researchers and field consultants across key fundraises in direct lending, opportunistic credit and infrastructure equity strategies.
• Led due diligence process for client opportunities across private credit, infrastructure, hedge funds and multi-asset solutions.

• Supported the relationship management team covering over 30 regional & boutique investment consultants.
• Managed the RFP process for institutional client opportunities across the full BlackRock investment platform.

• Supported business activities and execution of strategic initiatives for BlackRock's EMEA leadership.
• Managed four projects covering the expansion of our Middle Eastern presence, institutional business development in the European region, and UK regulatory changes.

• Coordinated with Senior Advisors to create hybrid Analyst role for two PWM teams managing $1.5B+ in client assets.
