Achievements

100 % score JCAHO in 2015,2018 &2020.

Developed a highly effective case cart system at Mt Sinai Health System . Proving to have orthopedic instruments available for the next day,in a high volume capacity. SPD also came under budget.

Most recently I sat on a committee with the Orthopedic Surgeons to build one tray limited to 25 pounds used exclusively for total hip and knee procedures. Now for a total joint procedure we pick the System 8 Heavy Power , The General Ortho Tray and the loaner instruments. I have also consolidated trays for the plastic/breast  surgeons . I am presently working with other service lines to revise and consolidate trays.

I have saved my department almost two million dollars,by purchasing enough instruments to sustain volume, and cutting down on wastage of supplies.  Considering the growth in those services,I have par to volume and manage turnover and labor.
