  • Notified establishment floor person and Maintenance department of machines that were not working properly and causing product to be contaminated or adulterated. I stopped the Production line and the Maintenance department adjusted the machines to correct the issue.

As a Food Inspector I am dependable, punctual, a self-starter. and I apply myself to learn quickly.  If a Compliance issue arises, I communicate with the Establishment Supervisors or my USDA Supervisor to correct the Non Compliance and insure that it is documented correctly.  While performing my duties I effectively and consistently enforce the procedures as outlined in FSIS Regulations, Directives, and Notices.  I perform Operational Sanitation

.to ensure production is performed in a Sanitary Workplace, in accordance. with PPIA-Poultry Products Inspection Act and 9 CFR 381.1-5. 


Overall, I have educated myself and have become very knowledgeable about the duties of the CSI 5/9. I have familiarized myself with the HACCP plan Overview Section. I have become familiar and understand critical control points, critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, effective recordkeeping procedures, and verification. The CSI duties are to verify establishments are effectively implementing their processes to meet all HACCP regulatory requirements under 9  CFR 417-417.8.


In  my free time, I have read the directives which give official communication and instructions to perform the many tasks of  Consumer Safety Inspector.  I understand  that the guidelines must comply with the Code of
