Accomplishments

Earning my associate's degree at the age of 18 allowed me have a head start before coming to my university. Throughout the time at my university, I have managed to maintain a 3.0 gpa or higher with the highest term gpa being a 4.0. I started off doing volunteer work as an individual at Christian Services and at Ferriday Lower Elementary during the summer while I was back at home. Since then, I've joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Joining the sorority has given me plenty more opportunities to continue serving the community. I am now doing an internship at the Family Health Center, in the social services office. This allows me to get some experience in the social work field before receiving my degree.

Affiliations

Since being at the University of Southern Mississippi, I have joined organizations such as Queens Uplifted and Eagles After Similar Yearnings (E.A.S.Y). In E.A.S.Y, I served as a mentor for some of the underclassmen who needed advice on how to navigate through college life. I recently joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which is an organization full of women who encourage me to continue being scholastic and serve the community in any way possible. I am a member of the executive board in the sorority.

Certification

I have been CPR certified since becoming a caregiver.

Interests

While learning a lot about social work, I became very interested in the hospice field Now that I am doing my internship in the medical social work field, I have also become interested in that I love to help people out in any way I can, no matter the situation I also love to see physical and mental wellness in people I come across
