Assisted federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel with detainee intake and processing operations, including fingerprint collection, DNA collection, identity verification, and documentation management. Conducted background and records reviews to support immigration case processing and ensure accurate information handling. Maintained security and order by escorting detainees safely throughout the facility fot interviews and processing procedures. Completed detailed reports and transfer documentation while working in a fast-paced, high- security environment requiring professionalism, attentional to detail, communication skills, and adherence to protocol.

• My duties and experience in this work period have placed me in circumstances that have required me to deal effectively with people in a courteous and tactful manner, including many scenarios in connection with law enforcement matters. I have been placed in real life circumstances and required to prove my ability to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions, sometimes resulting in apprehension/arrests as part of my duties that include acting in a law enforcement capacity. During my work providing border security on Operation Lone Star, I have been trained and gained real life experience in skills such as sign cutting and tracking, working as a team to cordon and apprehend illegal aliens, deploying and operating thermal drones, radio communications, use of navigation systems, use of less lethal pepperball launchers, handling of groups of illegal aliens and asylum seekers, and swiftwater rescue. I was also able to gain my expert marksmanship badge for the M4 rifle during this time. All of this has contributed in assisting the gain of a well-rounded skillset with over a year’s time specialized experience in demanding, high stress scenarios, often involving firearms and the necessary application of the skills previously mentioned.

• During this time my work included measuring and assessing the project, compiling and providing estimates to customers, and the manufacture, assembly, and installation of seamless gutters. Was trained and proficient in the use of power tools and the necessary tools of the trade. I worked full time 40 hour weeks with occasional overtime hours. I left this job when I was placed on active duty orders for Operation Lone Star with the Texas Army National Guard.

• During this time I assisted with all departments in the store conducting inventory and stocking, customer assistance, and acting as a cashier. I worked full time 40 hour weeks during this time.

• Attended basic training and military occupational specialty (MOS) training in bridge engineering at Fort Leonard Wood during this time period. Began as a Private (PV2), but was promoted during my training to Private First Class due to success and skill in my role as a platoon guide (trainee leadership equivalent to platoon sergeant). During this time I was entrusted with responsible work where I was required to demonstrate the necessary skills to make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms as a component of all our training, which replicated a tactical combat environment. Was trained in my military occupational specialty, and also trained in the skills and operations of combat engineers. Was trained in mine sweeping, the handling, application, and detonation of explosive ordnance, boat operations, and wet gap crossings.

• Worked in customer service during this time diagnosing mechanical issues, advising customers in the selection of optimal parts, and personally replacing many minor parts. Took tests on the knowledge and application of mechanical parts for qualification to perform these services. Was working part time during this period (approximately 30 hour weeks). I left this job when I shipped to basic training after enlisting in the Army National Guard.

• Trained in landscaping and construction to include mowing, trimming, groundskeeping, framing, wiring, furnishing installation, and insulating. Worked full time 40 hour weeks during this time period.
