Working last summer at the Kearney pools as a front desk staff member and a non-certified swim instructor was my first "real" job and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. It provided me with many valuable life skills experiences including customer service and satisfaction, accountability, phone communication, money handling and cash drawer reconciliation and interpersonal relationships with co-workers. I also learned about responding calmly to a variety of situations-some of them emergent and potentially injurious and life-threatening, and interacting with people of all ages. I feel that my friendly, helpful, approachable, flexible, cooperative and hard-working attitude are assets to any successful team. My organizational and multi-tasking skills, willingness to help others cover their shifts and take on added responsibilities when asked to do so also contribute to meeting team goals. I am an attentive and careful swim instructor with proven abilities to assist with private and group lesson instruction and would monitor students and situations closely to prevent possible injuries or emergencies.
This summer, in addition to being a front desk staff member and a non-certified swim instructor, I would also enjoy the opportunity to work the Harmon Hurricane slide and at the Yanney Park marina. I feel it will further increase my customer service skills. I am available to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
