Tristan Goodwin

I am currently a member of AZHSRA competing all over the state in high school rodeos.

I compete in Team roping, tie down and saddle bronc.

I am currently working on my private pilots license through Southwest Aviation in Benson.

I plan on finishing and taking my tests in early spring of 2024.

I have competed in multiple FFA activities such as, Chile Field Day, Districts, State and Nationals.

One of my SAE is in beef production where I raise a small herd of show cows for showing at local shows and the Cochise County Fair. I raise calves and either show them or sell them to other kids who show them all over the State. I have won Cochise County Bred and Fed steer multiple times and had a calf win Reserve Champion steer in Gila county. I have raised multiple heifers and steers winning Grand, Reserve and Supreme Champion Heifer through the years.

I also participate in horse judging and have another SAE in Horse placement. I have competed in Horse judging at District and State horse judging winning 1st at Districts last year. I enjoy training, breaking and selling horses. I buy young unbroke horses, train them and then sell them. I also start horses for other people. I have shown in the Cochise County Fair since I was nine. I have won High Point western, roping and timed events multiple times. I have also shown in the youth division at the quarter horse show in Sonoita. I have competed in rodeos all over the state in roping, tie down, saddle bronc, breakaway and ribbon roping. My horse earned Top Rope horse in 2023 at the WJRA which was a big accomplishment since I trained her.

I have been a member of SAILA since I was 8 years old.

I have competed in livestock shows all over the state with SAILA showing beef and goats.

I have won multiple Grand and Reserve champion heifer, market and prospect beef.

I have been a member of the WJRA since I was little where I competed in barrel racing, poles, goat tying, heading, heeling, breakaway, ribbon roping, tie down roping, and chute dogging.

Last year earned Reserve All Around Champion and Top Rope horse of the year.

I was a member of the Stronghold 4-H where I was a member in good standing, held multiple officer positions, helped on planning committees for fundraising and community service and games planner.

I participated in the clubs community service projects cleaning up Pearce, Kansas Settlement cemetery clean up, coat drive, food drive, operation christmas child and put flags on veterans memorial sites.

I had many projects such as, rabbit, land fowl, water fowl, poultry, swine, meat goat, beef and horse.

I have won multiple awards at the Cochise County Fair to include, Champion Bred and Fed market steer, Supreme Champion Heifer, Grand heifer, Champion and Reserve Beef Showmen, Best of Breed rabbit, Champion feather, Champion land fowl, Grand champion Carcass goat and beef, Champion Breeding doe, Supreme Round Robin Champion showmen, High Point Western, Grand Champion Horse showmanship, High Point Roping and timed events.
