Summary

Why Administrative Work:

I am a tenacious and inquisitive worker. I have been in the administrative industry for approximately five years. I enjoy the way administrative work allows me to use my brain. Thinking critically and solving problems are traits that I am proud to possess. Administrative work allows me to interact with clients and ensure they receive the best customer service.

Why Pursue a Legal Career:

In 2017 I was involved in a car wreck that nearly took my life. I hired a lawfirm to represent me. In 2018 I was in another wreck where I hired the same firm. A paralegal who worked there, saw how interested I was in PI work. She began teaching me and Informed me I should get an associates degree in Paralegal Studies. As I began to complete my legal classes, I realized that the legal field is my passion. I would enjoy coming to work everyday knowing that a difference is being made.

About Me:

I am deeply committed to the job. I believe hard work pays off. When the company hurts I hurt. A team of brilliant minds will always supersede individuality. Therefore, I strive to be a team player and believe in collaboration and building connections. I can work unsupervised, or I can work diligently as part of a team, under the direct supervision of a supervisor.

My life is what I make of it. I do not believe in excuses. If I work hard enough I will achieve my goal. If I look hard enough, I will find the answer. I believe in treating people with compassion. You never know what someone is going through. Therefore, it doesn't cost anything to be polite and kind. Sometimes I have bad days and feel terrible. However, I do not take it out on others or bring it into the work place. Not only does it create a negative work environment, but it is extremely contagious. Being a hard working employee is not the only attribute needed to be great at your job. Having a positive attitude will always compliment work ethic and brighten the room. These are the values I live by.

Billing Administrative Assistant

Lodge Services, LLC
02.2019 - 05.2023
  • Monitored outstanding invoices and performed collections duties. Sometimes clients get behind on bills. Therefore, I must follow up via email. If I do not receive an email back by the end of week, I will call them. If that does not work, I send out a final email followed by a certified letter demanding payment or legal actions will be pursued.
  • Verified accuracy of billing data and corrected discrepancies. Daily I found errors in billing information. My supervisor emails me a list of invoices that need to be corrected. Even though there is not a deadline in which they need to be completed, I understand that the situation is urgent. Therefore, I must look at the job that was actually done. If the vendor seems to be overcharging us for the work that is completed, I send them an updated invoice. If the vendor agrees to it, I issue a payment out.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings. Every week we have a team meeting. This meeting aims to inform us of our progress that we have made the previous week. I accept constructive criticism well because it help me grow and perfects my craft.
  • Utilized various software programs to process customer payments. I use four programs to process payments, issue refunds, correct billing invoices, and process CSPs.
  • Responded to customer concerns and questions on daily basis. I want all of our clients to feel heard and welcomed. Not only is it good for business, but it establishes a healthy relationship with the client. Happy clients tend to refer other people.

Inventory Analyst

Ashley Furniture Warehouse
06.2016 - 01.2019
  • Reported on supply chain KPIs to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Tracked millions of dollars worth of lost property.
  • Conducted quarterly cycle counts. During this time I would cycle count the entire warehouse. If there were any property missing, I would locate it after the cycle count.
  • Performed data entry and completed proper paperwork.
  • Recorded information, shortages, and discrepancies to keep records current and accurate.
  • Traveled to Louisville Kentucky frequently to help out their warehouse due to a shortage.
  • Kept documentation and records accurate and up-to-date with latest data to prevent errors in processing or delivery.
  • Kept an eye on the dock workers due to the constant inventory shortage. The numbers were not adding up and I was never able to locate certain inventory. I advised my manager to start watching the cameras. Multiple employees were stealing furniture.
  • Developed new routines to educate staff on proper inventory management techniques. Certain employees did not understand how losing furniture could add up to millions of dollars. I asked my manager if it was ok that we hold a team meeting in a week. During that week I came up with new ideas on how to keep the warehouse organized. This led to less inventory being lost. The employees were great and worked extremely hard. However, sometimes it is unknown of the negative impacts someone is having on the company until they are provided constructive criticism.
  • Pulled merchandise from inventory storage and documented quantities to maintain accuracy. If inventory was damaged, I would systematically pull it from the inventory until it was repaired.
  • Kept work areas neat, clean and free from debris. If the area was unorganized, inventory could get lost or miss labeled.
  • Collaborated with sales team members to stay current on inventory levels, complete accurate orders, and resolve item issues. In order for corporate to meet there yearly sales quota, I worked closely with them to insure all parts were physically ready to be shipped.
