Highly efficient and diligent student worker with professorship on the horizon. I am currently studying a major in History and a minor in Philosophy, to potentially further myself in these subjects through graduate school.
ACADEMIC PRESENTATION PROJECTS
Home Is Far Away — Short Film (Spring 2024)
Written as a final presentation for Latin American Civilization (2533) instructed by John Philip Santos, I was given the opportunity to create a video project to reflect on the semester’s course material. The project Home Is Far Away serves as my biographical placement in a larger colonial context, and criticizes modern attitudes toward the celebration of cultures lost and present.

The Bauhaus — Research Presentation (Spring 2024)
As part of Dr. Abraham Gibson’s spring 2024 course, The History of Technology, I completed my final research presentation on the Bahaus Art School and Modern Architecture Movement. In this presentation, I relate the post-industrial revolution architecture and the Great War European Socialist art movement, its origins, and influence over mid-century American design.

Suburbia — Research Presentation (Summer 2024)
In my second class instructed by Dr. Abraham Gibson and the final course he taught at UTSA, I chose to cover the origins and impact of suburban developments as the final project submission to The Environmental History of The U.S. Summer course. The presentation focuses on the rise of suburban sprawl, its impact on metropolitan infrastructure, and the collateral consequences of our housing system.

What Is History : I — Short Film (Summer 2024)
My introduction to the UTSA History Department, and present project effort, What Is History is an educational video series aiming to dissect the field of History. Heavily inspired by the publication by Edward Hallett Carr of the same name, I directed/edited the project with musical scores and AV production from my team of close friends. This video serves as a basic introduction to the field covering basic definitions and activities of Historical research aimed toward an undergraduate student audience.

What Is History : II — Short Film (Fall 2024)
This project continues dissecting the field in the same effort as the first installment. More theoretically and methodologically focused, What Is History II asks deeper questions about morality, narratives, storytelling, and how the historian relates to their research. Personally, my favorite project to work on academic or personal.
