Infrared Remote Display Driver

  • The goal of this project was to create a television-like interface using the common IR remote to allow users to cycle through a variety of images (sprites) displayed on a monitor at 60 fps using VGA.
  • The setup for this project included one DE10-Lite FPGA, one universal IR remote, one IR receiver, a breadboard for ease of assembly and assorted cables.
  • All logic for this project was designed using the Intel Quartus-Lite program by the creation of an individual System Verilog file for each block, which were then assembled accordingly in the general schematic file.
