Summary

I enlisted with the Pennsylvania State Police on June 28th, 2021. Upon graduation from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy on December 23rd, 2021, I was assigned to the Troop E, Corry Patrol Unit, were I am currently stationed. During my time as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, I have discovered a passion for investigating criminal incidents. I have assisted the Criminal Investigation Unit numerous times and understand what is required to become a productive member of this unit. Through my trainings and experiences, I developed the ability to build a rapport with individuals and suspects. Building this rapport allows me to conduct effective interviews. I understand being detail oriented in my investigations can be the key to successfully solving complex investigations. I have learned, through my experiences, different methods and techniques used to successfully complete criminal investigations. I plan to further develop my skills and education by attending trainings relative to criminal investigations, as they are provided.

Significant Incidents

Through reviewing the Victim's bank statements and documents, the Victim's son was developed as suspected. An interview was completed with the suspect. Using information provided by the Victim and statements made by the Suspect, a search warrant for the Suspect's bank records was applied for and granted by the local Magisterial District Justice. The evidence obtained through this search warrant prompted me to apply for an out of state search warrant, which was granted by a Common Pleas Judge. The evidence acquired from the second search warrant allowed me to successfully arrest the Suspect. (PA23-1336392)
  • Burglary: I respond to a Suspicious Vehicle as the two (2) Victims reported a known individual was snooping around their, at the time, vacant residence. Upon interviewing the Suspect, the Suspect admitted to being at the Victim's residence. The suspect further admitted to entering the Victim's shed and stealing multiple items and damaging others. The stolen items were recovered and the Suspect was arrested. (PA22-1565653)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child: I was dispatched to a report of a young Juvenile running in the middle of the roadway wear no clothes. Multiple witnesses were interviewed and video surveillance was obtained. It was determined the Juvenile left the residence without the parents initially noticing. The juvenile was running onto the roadway and in front of a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Interviews were conducted with both parents of the juvenile, who admitted the Juvenile had left the residence without their knowledge. Due to previous issues regarding the parents and their children, the local District Attorney's Office was contacted and approved the arrest for both parents. (PA23-903576)
  • Theft by Deception: Investigated an incident at Walmart were the Suspect returned a sound bar for a cash refund. Using documentation and video surveillance provided by Walmart the Suspect was identified. Upon interviewing the Suspect, I was provided an elaborate story involving other family members. Interviews were conducted with family members and I was able to determine the Suspect's initially story was false. The Suspect was arrested and a Preliminary Hearing was set. At the Preliminary Hearing, the Suspect brought with him the stolen merchandise. The stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the victim. (PA23-1603234).
