- As the lead for the maintenance night crew, I had to make critical decisions while ensuring that production downtime was minimal and that my crew and myself stayed within health and safety regulations with little to no supervision.
- Kept the plant running efficiently by testing and troubleshooting instruments, components and assemblies using voltmeters, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and PLCs.
- Removed damaged instruments,decided if it was salvageable and repaired equipment down to the component level if needed.
- Wrote and uploaded recipes used for various controllers such as Watlows, Omegas, Red Lions, Honeywells, and numerous others usually for oven control.
- Preform preventative maintenance and repairs on M9, M6, and 350Kv Linatrons. Which were the most critical pieces of equipment on the plant.
- Troubleshot and kept in production very specific types of equipment like Dit-m-cos (resistance checker), foam blenders, and detool machines. Usually with no prints and no service support due to late night hours or outdated equipment.
- Maintained cameras and DVRs across the site for accountability and safety.
- Preformed preventative maintenance and troubleshot a vast array of scales ranging from kgs to tons.
- Installed, repaired, and maintained air monitoring systems and process monitoring systems per safety and quality regulations.
- Monitored supply levels and ordered additional spare parts, manuals, tools and replacement equipment.
- Conferred with engineers and designers to investigate and solve new equipment installations and failure issues.
- Devised and implemented updates and resolutions for handling risks, maintaining compliance and improving designs.
- Used information in technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals to understand operations and make successful repairs.
