• Scheduled to complete hospital-based clinical rotations, applying aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile field.
• Preparing operating rooms, arranging instruments per surgeon preference cards, and assisting with patient positioning, gowning/gloving, and surgical counts.
• Practicing instrument passing, retraction, and intraoperative support under supervision.
• Participating in decontamination, restocking, and turnover procedures while observing and assisting in a variety of surgical cases to gain exposure to medications, equipment, and emergency protocols.
• Demonstrating respect for preceptors and surgical team members, actively listening, and following directions carefully.
• Eager to learn, seeking opportunities to contribute beyond assigned tasks and provide additional support when needed.
