My experience working at Quoc Huong has greatly contributed to my ability to handle problem-solving and resolve conflicts between employees as well as with customers. Quoc Huong is a company specializing in providing frozen seafood products to supermarkets in Vietnam. In this role, frequent communication with customers to maintain relationships was crucial. My responsibilities included interacting with customers over the phone or in person when necessary, promoting new products to existing customers, and managing Excel and Word files to store inventory information (such as stock, incoming and outgoing goods). I also maintained a database of loyal customers to send thank-you notes and gifts during important holidays. Additionally, I directly managed customer websites to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods as required.
I am truly grateful and fortunate to have worked in such a professional environment. This experience has significantly enhanced my soft skills, up-selling abilities, and customer service skills. It also helped me improve my time management and scheduling skills.
During my time at 777 Cocktail Bar, I had the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment, with many lively activities taking place at night. Located in the heart of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the bar frequently hosted both local and international guests, which significantly enriched my learning experience. Customer experience was prioritized, with the goal of attracting new clients and ensuring the satisfaction of existing ones.
My responsibilities included serving drinks, cocktails, and snacks to customers, while creating enjoyable conversations or simply listening to their stories. Additionally, I had the chance to be creative in designing seasonal decorations for the bar (such as for Halloween, Vietnamese Lunar New Year, Christmas, etc.). From these decoration ideas, I also developed marketing strategies to attract customers. For instance, my colleagues and I came up with the idea of hosting "Sleepover Parties" every Saturday night. To promote this, staff would greet customers in pajamas, and those who wore sleepwear and took pictures with the bar would receive a 10-20% discount on their bill. This concept led to customers posting pictures on social media, sparking curiosity among their followers and attracting new potential customers.
I had the chance to express my creativity and enhance my listening skills to better understand customer psychology and needs. Moreover, I noticed a significant increase in my flexibility, as I was able to work in various shifts. My communication skills also grew, as I interacted with customers from various countries.
Although my time working at C-Coffee was relatively short, I feel fortunate to have worked in such a lively and vibrant environment located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with the opportunity to collaborate with amazing colleagues. In this role, serving customers and time management were prioritized to meet customer needs.
My responsibilities included serving and preparing various juices, smoothies, and especially coffee in the early morning. I was also responsible for maintaining cleanliness at the beverage counter, washing glasses and related equipment, preparing ingredients, and keeping the counter tidy. Time management and ingredient preparation were crucial to ensure efficiency, as customers would often request their orders to be completed quickly and accurately, allowing them to grab their beverages in 5-10 minutes before heading to work.
